Middlewich Folk and Boat Festival 2009 at The Narrowboat

Can you believe that the 19th Middlewich Folk and Boat Festival is over for another year?

Last year was our first in The Narrowboat and we were busy making new friends and enjoying the carnival atmosphere with our guests.

There is no doubt that for us the 2009 festival has been a bigger success than last year. Not only did we see returning friends but made many, many more friends.

The days were long, this year we served breakfasts from 10 in the morning and from the numbers coming through the door this was a popular addition to our lunch and evening meals menus. In fact our catering staff never seemed to be still all day and our thanks goes to them for all their efforts to help make the Boat and Festival visitors visit one to remember.

What great acts we had performing here at The Narrowboat this year and all were warmly greeted by our customers who appreciated these talented entertainers. The acts who join us in 2010 will have a lot to live up to!

Just because the Middlewich Folk and Boat Festival is over for 2009, it does not mean that the entertainment is over at The Narrowboat.

On the last Thursday of every month we have Calico Jack and every third month we have Stan's Magic Foot to entertain us. These events are always well attended and a great fun night is had by all. We would love you to join us so come along, have a drink, something to eat and sing along.

Here at The Narrowboat we welcome back old friends and enjoy meeting new ones. There is always a special atmosphere as enthusiastic boating and music fans sit eating and partaking of the odd glass or two while telling tales of their trips.
